    The Route

    Hey all

Every so often, I type up a ride report of how things are going with my new life as a motorcyclist (or as a friend put it a "murdercycle"...how original lol). Well this is one of those ride reports. Went for my daily de-stress bike ride in the evening, and came across that I have a "route". Never noticed it before but I seem to have developed a nice little pootle route through the burbs which on a traffic less sunday morning is brilliant *well for me*. Head through remuera and mission bay, then back through remuera, with a quick foray into new market where i curse the day short shorts were created *as every cage slows down suddenly to ogle the girls*...and I have to keep well on my toes. I seem to have developed the ability to not ogle at um stuff when riding lol. Anyway back through epsom and home. How many of you guys have a "route" as such that you ride. I find it calms me down lots and soothes the mind after a long day.

On a random note, epsom has a fantastic/scary corner which I encountered today. A sharp 20k right which goes straight into a sharp 20 k left. I was a bit freaked by how sharply those corners tightened up but keeeping a cool head, shifting weight, tipping in more and looking well into the distance saw me through . Still getting used to how freaking quickly the rg like to go horizontal! I can't remember who said it on here but hovering over the seat instead of standing up then plonking myself does help greatly as the bike does not de-stabilise.

Overall, a great little ride. The sun was shining. The cages weren't behaving too erratically and betty decided to start for once *having that looked at tomorrow*. I have a feeling though that my fairing is starting to come apart, so I might be riding a streetfighter/naked soon .

The lessons in riding are still flowing hard and fast. I'm hoping to catch you guys on a ride sometime once betty is back up and running normally. Till then. Ride Safe and have fun.

    Peace

Thats the spirit! Guess these long, hot summery days leads to eye-pull ... and you always go where you look!

Good on ya for getting out there!
