I think Mark the solution to all the shite you get handed on this site from the Auckers is to get matching leathers/boots/gloves.

Seriously bro...do you want some good advice. Here goes. Listening now. Your not leaning enough. You have to get a pair of balls and keep leaning until the bike is upside down. Then you will be able to corner the fastest. Upside down bikes blow all others away. Only the coolest can do it. But seeing as your still a noobs like the rest off us, you can only hope. If you want an easier technique, trying spinning the rear on a corner with you 300 km/h ZXRRRRRRRRRR2500 and then highsiding yourself over the finish line.. I believe, kbers have a united cause now eh *apart from the cheescutter one* lol

i am hanging off as much as i can. Trying to minimalise how much i'm leaning the bike over.

in my signature pic below is a bad example...and the only pic as it was in early laps of the first session....i have scraped my arse on the ground before. so when i am right off....my knee of my outside leg is on the edge of the seat hanging right off...

i have done the whole try kiss ya mirror thing also.

    what can i do...

do i need a bigger bike...

is the 250 just not meant for this?

    i am 6 foot tall.

around taupo through some of the corners....my knee is down and the inside of my leg is hard against fairing the bike is laying on me. and i am scraping my fairing and alternator cover.... heres a pic after beign on the track....i had just painted the fairing too

You're getting into a corner, the suspension is compressing with the weight of the bike, and the centripetal force due to cornering. This effectively lowers the ride height of the bike, making things scrape.

Fix the suspension so the ride height stays more constant and hey presto, nothing scraping.
CORRECT! No one does decent aftermarket suspension for these off the shelf so it is essentially custom build. The forks will have to be internally reworked and there is very little you can do with the budget rear shock in these. If you go to any national level road race and watch what happens in the top teams to ''find'' lower lap times its all about the black rubber hoops and the suspension.

Normally Robert I wouldn't disagree with you IN THIS CASE. trust me here this guy has a lot to learn before he needs your help.
Put it this way um even I could lap 2-5 seconds faster as the bike is just by cornering/braking acceleerating/turning in propperly.
Once he's got that sorted out THEN I'd suggest he beats a path to your door

Had the same problem with my old zxr, it didnt like being lent as much as much as id wanted to and it does hold u up in some corners that you know u could take faster.
Have a good look at ur suspension, but u may find theres just a limit to how far the bike can lean. You could also see if you can get after marked foot pegs to change ur position a lil aswell?

Why doesn't Skiddy only ride on negative camber roads? I'm sure it's be a hell of a lot easier to achieve 'maximum lean', if he only rode his ZXR on them...
