Maybe he should give her an ultimatum..... Its me and my bike or nothing. Anyway if he kept her in the kitchen where she shoud be, she would have never found out about it!

"Kim, KIM! What the fuck is that in the garage??
Get rid of it now, or I'll move back to Mums" (seizing the opportunity, he grabs the cellphone off the table, dials..."Yeah, I'll take the new ZX10R. In fact I'll have 2, one green and another black pleeease...")

Know what though??...that same scenario (except for the 2 x ZX10 of course ) worked for me with an ex. The moron turned to me once and said (and I kid you not!):

"no, you can't have a bike!"

My response was obviously along the lines of a mild mannered, obedient F*CK OFF!!! once i'd realised he was serious...

    Yup.

As a wise man once told me, when it comes down to the bike versus the woman (or the man), pick the bike every time and you'll never live to regret it...

    Amen... worked for me!

Never, ever should anyone have to give up a passion for a person. But why is it that it always seem to be a woman who gets the man to give something?

I tried choosing the woman once.

    It was the wrong call.

Then I chose the bike, and it was the right call.

Obviously no rule is perfect, but given the importance of motorcycling to many folk here, and the general nature of a relationship where a partner would try to block something like that, it's not a bad principle to follow.

Ya but then ya get some spoil buggers like this lady's oldman:
    http://www.trademe.co.nz/Browse/List...x?id=138201459

I e-mailed her and got this reply:

    Hi There,
I brought My Better half a 1992 Kawasaki ZZR1100....8years ago for His 40th Birthday and that was and still is a great Quick bike,But as better half has been riding Kawasaki's and Ducati's all His life ,His neck and wrists give him a hard time, and He ride's hard, So I thought that it was time to upgrade to look after his neck etc.
    Well hell
So we went up to Nelson to look at and test ride the Concours, But when we got up there they wouldn't let us ride it as it wasn't a demo bike and didn't have One.
No one had a demo bike, and if you wanted one you had to order one .Unbelivable.
So was told that I would have to wait 6 weeks for a Concours in get in the Country.
Well I was NOT happy about that at all and packed a sad.
Went to My Local Kawasaki Dealer who dont sell road bikes...... Told Him My story and he got on the Phone and I had One in the Box 4 days Later. Yahoo
But now you already know that he is not happy with this bike.
Bike is Not to fault and he couldn't fault it.....
For a Tourer it is everything that they say about it and more.....Just My Man Not ready to go tour he needs a Sports bike to play on and the Concours is for Touring and doing Long Miles.
So what I should of brought, But couldn't get One at the time, was a Kawasaki ZZR 1200.
There were afew around but real Dogs, Then 2 weeks ago I found a 2005 ZZR 1200 in P North with only 10,000kms One owner NZ New LOL for $12,500 What a bargin.
If you get to have a ride on a Concours you would not give it back.
Now I know that in about 5yrs My other half is going to be pissed off he didnt keep it.
We have a 1976 900ss have had for about 25 years in the Lounge.
And a 1980 Kawasaki Z1R that I got off TM and we have had 5 of these Old Bikes.
    Still got the ZZR 1100
And I'm Not keeping the Concours. LOL
I hope you find a Great bike for you and your Better Half.
There nothing better than clocking up some mile on bikes.
    Kaye
    Play safe

Should have e-mailed her back and told her ta ditch the Old Bugger for me. I would have loved her long time if she had got me that.
