What petrol do you put in your Harley?

91 or 96, just wanting opinions on what they think suits the harley better, have had mixed responses in the past

My old 1340 used to run on 91. I'm not sure why you'd run high octane fuel in such a low compression engine?

Usually 95, sometime 98 but havent used 91..remember reading in the service manual to run highest octane you can..not sure if this is a must or just a good idea....might try 91 on the run to the rally next weekend....

I have a 2000 FLHTCI that I run 91 octane in with no problems. Anything less and it will ping.

You can get fuel with LESS than 91????

    I use 96 mostly, 98 at times.

We use 91 in everything. It is the most stable and takes the longest to deteriate in the tank.

    I was told,,,

When I scored my hog the biker told me to use 95 octane as he said it has more lead in the fuel to keep the chambers coated .Then another biker further down the road told me to use one part aviation fuel mixed with 91 octane. This he told me gives better performance. Also putting lead deposits back in the chamber.AV gas is costly so now I just run 91,then maybe once a while I'll run 95 or AV just to keep my bike happy.,,,,,LTR
I also am no angel,,,,,,but if the Harley had wings I'd ride it to the moon and back. !!
