Bugger! Speedy recovery to your lad.
PS...bikes are not dangerous. What you do on them can be...
Do you realise how many holes there could be if people would just take the time to take the dirt out of them?

    Ok...

Picked up the bike from towies. $150 later...

    Damaged instruments.
Dent in tank l/h side where handlebars hit.
Red paint (from car) on r/h side of motor.
Back end a fraction in a twist.
    Scratches on l/h muffler.
Visor faering damaged, but glass OK.
    Bent handle bars.

    So nothing daddy can't fix.

Now we just need to see what costs the car repair will be.

I have been telling him to get insurance, but... A lesson I am sure!

Oh, and re the dangerous bikes issue. As you would expect, my ex has made it clear that it is all my fault.

May the bridges I burn light the way.

    Ouch, sounds pretty nasty.

    Here's to a speedy recovery

Good luck with the cost of the cager.. unfortunately all that plastic needing to be completely replaced may cost a fair bit.

Good. Would you like me to drop in on him and tell him to not give up?

And there is this girl who he has been keen on, but who has been a little standoffish. Now she suddenly is showing him heaps of attention!!!

    Smile ok,

the boy is back home. Crutches and a cast. Painkillers and a six week contemplation period.

He had his first proper look at the bike. I told him it is running and I took it for a spin. He smiles and says: "So after some work I will be able to ride her again then?"

    Thats the spirit!!
