    Just ride it a gear higher than you normally would, the R will pull off idle, no snatchiness, just smooth accel'n, and yes they do corner well. Had a 'moment' myself nearly taking out an inside marker peg with my left shoulder on an exit not long ago (thought I was goin in nice n hot....shoulda been 20km hotter-on the Senna). You can trust the MVs far beyond a normal bike, then the R will impress you even more.
