That is the biggest problem with his attitude and level of immaturity...he can't see past his own ego, so can never understand consequences.
140 thru a 55? His 'tribute' to Bruce and Daryl? Spare us, please.
Do you realise how many holes there could be if people would just take the time to take the dirt out of them?

    Skidmark is NOT ok.
What Skidmark posts are NOT ok.
    Skidmarks attitude is NOT ok.
Did you happen to notice my post about his friends condoning Skidmarks actions?
Because thats exactly what you have just done.

very true.... but what are we teaching?

SM has said some stuff thats making me cringe.
but listen to what he is saying.
    riders from one to another......
    "ya knee sliders are clean"
    "got your knee down yet?"
"look at the size of ya chicken strips!"
    words of encouragement?
i have heard these comments from many riders. and some that have written on here.
reading this thread i look back and think shit ive said things in the past too. as a joke but did anyone take it seriously?
carefull what we say out there, even to the younger or more impressionable ones.
so lets stop bagging him and help him instead.

    BUT

Coroloop is an amazing place huge amounts of fun, scenic as hell. worth a visit.

In many ways it is reminiscent of the romanticism of dying in combat. Nowadays we know that ain't pretty but it was seen as "oh so noble" in 1910. I don't really give a wet slap what the Kalamari Kid thinks, my only worry is that new people to biking and to the site might think he's some sort of cool bastard and think he has some useful advice.

I can only hope that no one else gets taken out at the same time.
Agreed. They are just as weak and make wet excuses. He also needs a good old kick up the arse. We don't want to share the public roads we enjoy so much with an idiot like that.

I truely do apologize in advance and struggling to post the following because of two reasons.
    1. I never knew them
    2. it is really bad to speak ill of the passed.

    BUT

With all due respect the comments come from someone who is now dead.

I dont care how good you think you are. If you are wrong on the road the consequences are often fatal.

I do hear what you are saying though. In our small group we kid around. Someone will show up at a stop after a challenging set of twisties and no doubt someone will pipe up with "where you been, stop for a coffee or something?"
But it really is in good humour and it is different. We have a select core group and those who have survived in the group are those who are solid, safe riders. There has been a few come and go over time but those with egos bigger than their skillset dont last long in our group. I like it like that and hope it stays that way.
I will also qualify this by saying that there has been bins on our rides from time to time. But it is never ok. Sure you want to make sure the rider is ok but anyone who bins on one of our rides will soon know that unless it was a lightening strike or act of alien then it is not ok and they better take a look at what they were doing and change something or they simply are not welcome. I have not and will never apologise for this.
I am not a saint either. I have been told off for my riding from time to time and feel priviliaged to ride with a group that although of my repuation for being egotistical my fellow riders have no bones about calling me out and I respect them more for it.

having known Bruce for a long time and ridden with him on many occasions he would have to rate as one of the worst riders I have ever known, he was crashing all the time, he was always in trouble with the cops and lastly he died riding and killed DSS3 by doing a dumshite wheelie into a corner.
I know as I was there watching him Knee on the ground and exiting on one wheel ..................... good rider NAH!

and for those that want more info (always keen to repeat for the bennifit of slowing some riders down) Check out this nice Coro Loop report

Fella, nobody goes with a "fucking huge grin" on their face. You go in a world of pain and confusion and regret:
"Is that my mangled arm over there by that car? Fuck I can't breathe! Waddaya mean take it easy, I can't take it easy when my mouth keeps filling with blood?! Why are they looking at me like that? Is that my bike revving fit to burst, bouncing against the limiter? aaaah quiet, thank god, except for the lady screaming, I mean screaming at her kids to "stay in the fucking car!".....uurgh, I can feel the bones in my chest grating together....fuck it hurts, man...no I mean it really hurts like somebody is twisting a huge knife in my chest....funny, my shoulder doesn't hurt at all...I can feel Davo pressing his favourite tee shirt against the ragged stump where my arm used to be but that's about it....blood everywhere...is that all mine?....the poor bugger is crying...I want to thank him, tell him I'm sorry but I just can't seem to take a breathe....oh man I...just....can't...seem...to get...any...air...fading, feel like I'm falling all over again......voices......screaming......going....... .going......................"gone

SM, try holding half your mates face on as he's lying on the side of the road, try having to ride home when your broken mate has just been loaded into an ambulance (or worse, dead) and your whole body is still shaking no matter how many shuddering deep breathes you try and take, try telling him as he's lying there that everything's ok when you know damn well that the ambo's are 20 minutes away and there's already more blood than you've seen in your life leaking over the road. Try dialling a mobile phone to make that call to his missus when you can't stop shaking enough to read/jab the numbers not having a clue what to say and your mouth feels like the bottom of a parrots cage.

I wonder where your "fucking huge grin" would be then....I wonder if you'd be grinning if you were the one lying broken on the road......
I don't really wonder, 'cos I know for a fact you'd be crying and snivelling and praying/begging just like the rest of us and you'd do anything, absolutely anything at all if you could only turn back the clock.

But hey, you don't have to listen to people like me spruiking on, you can just keep riding as you are and find out for yourself.......

That was deep mate, and i totally understand what your saying gosh shocked me quite abit infact, great explaination hope it gets through to those whom don't understand

Your post should be required reading for all new riders, and SM. What a shame his ego will get only a guaranteed smartass response rather than reason and intelligence.
