Tried some bikes for size today...

So im looking around for a new bike... havent sold mine yet nor my spare car... so have to get onto that...

Tried on for size quite a few bikes... couldnt even get tip toes down on the majority of them

Was looking at sports tourer type (more upright) than supersport.

Till I sat on a cruiser.... n it fit really good... so now im unsure what I want as a cruiser seems to be more 'fitting' & comfortable...
Going to take an 08 vstar 650 custom for a test ride during the week... see how I go with that... I really like faired bikes & my lil ZZR is perfect... but it is possible that a 'change' may be on the cards!!

Oh... & I split my dress trousers swinging my leg over a 6R... haha...

Going shopping for work pants this afternoon so dont have to fix these ones ah the joys of being a short ass!!! !

We'll assume you split your trousers swinging your leg over an R6 rather than a restricted license.

    Woot! Cruisers ftw,

Or you can do what i'm looking at doing and get a Sports Cruiser..

Just the low seat height for some people is a god-send. S'pecially if you anywhere near as short as fireball..

FOR SALE: '88 Yamaha FZX 750, low k's and decent condition. Looking for around 4.5K. Drop us a pm, view it any time. Oh, and trades considered for cruisers or naked sporties.

Methinks madame should check out the new CB600F.

You also need to ride a Harley Davidson XL883 Sportster:

    Both procurable within your budget.

Come to think of it, the Sporty could be the perfect bike for you.

(Sorry, I just have to include another picture of one...)

What cruiser is it your looking at?

If it's the Vstar 650 I think you'll thoroughly enjoy it..

Quite a bit of bike to lug around but those Japanese can do amazing things with their tiny fingers. If anyone can make a big bike fly it's the Japanese.

And also, i'm looking a Harley Sportster 883 myself but the general review is it's more of a show bike, with very little power and about 100 mile tank range.. Though I shall have to test ride one for myself.

If you're talking about the Special Edition, I'm with you. This bike made me dream, but was a bit heavy (coming from a 250) and my wallet wasn't. One day...

Check out the ducati monster's... S2R 800 was a very nice bike, comes standard with adjustable ride height. The particular one i rode was lowered 1in front and back, no ground clearance issues, plenty of power too. My g/f fit on it fine and shes about you're height from memory.

Servicing is usual oil + filter ever 10k and replace the belts every 20k... so by no means expensive, though slightly more involved than a Jappa.
