Thumbs up MCN weekly paper a good read!

A mate just showed me a copy of his MCN (Motor Cycle News) newspaper, which unfortunately we do not have for sale in New Zealand that I'm awares (his copy was from Britten). However he told me they have the last years worth at our local central libaray. The paper has all the latest news along with good pictures, including new model bikes not yet released in NZ along with bikes not yet made!
I went all anti social on him when he gave me a copy to look at, I had my head stuck in the paper for a good wee while

MCN - Whether it's true or not we'll print it. Be careful of their 'spyshots' and 'new bike' pictures, more often than not they tend to be miles off the mark. Also I believe a well-known international racer who posts here has a number of issues (no pun intended) with the accuracy of their information.

Cripes...and they say the pommes winge and whine. Sounds like jealousy to me.

MCN has to be taken with a grain of salt. They frequently claim to test bikes, then make outrageous comments like, "The Shiver has fully adjustable suspension front and rear."

No it doesn't. It has rebound and preload on the rear only. That is just ONE example. There is practically a factual inconsistency in every test they write.

Journalistic standards and fact don't seem to be bywords at MCN.

Good ol' MCN. Thick, strong, and thoroughly absorbent.

Performance Bikes, Fast Bikes, Bike, SuperBike Mag. All magazines that I read and enjoy, over any publication from anywhere in the world. Now where do thse hail from?

AMCN for me. At one time in my life I used to buy every road bike, dirt bike and atv mag that came out and I have to agree, MCN is best left on the shelf. Once upon a time it used to be in mag shops here, was a pile of steaming shite with little regards paid to little details like facts.

I really miss MCN, every Wednesday or motorcycle news day as my kids called it. It gave me a dose of biking once a week through the long dark cold wet winters.

Accuracy in the British press? no you've lost me now.
    Oh bugger

Don't mind the red rep but FFS I'm not a Pom

Bike porn...hmm. "Bike" magazine was always interesting. Ride/Dire once or twice a year as their product tests were umm...sorta scientific.
