    Phew! Saved it!

Was parking my bike beside the local takeaways...left plenty of space (I thought) for the car in front of me...well over a metre.

Taking the gloves of...when I notice the car coming towards me.

Frantically grab the bars to steady it just in case....and hammer on his boot.

Get away with a gentle bump against my front fender.

I probably should've been angry or something...given the guy a piece of my mind...but I was feeling WAY to happy at having avoided any damage.

Still..... why would you reverse without looking behind you...how hard can it be to see a large yellow bike and a 6'4" guy standing behind your car??

Bloody hard! That means he'd have to either use his mirror, or turn his head. You are being unreasonable to expect any cage driver to do that.
    Time to ride

Obviously yellow is not good enough. Try pink with fluorescent green spots, it should work

    Glad you saved the bike!

I hope lots of nice stuff happens to you now, you so deserve it for being so reasonable. Well done on saving yourself and your bike. Beats me how some people think they can just move a damn heavy potential weapon around (i.e. car) and be oblivious to whatever is around them. What on earth could have happened if it had been a kid where you were positioned? That point alone would have made me do my right raving na-na at them!!

Never, NEVER! park in front of, behind, beside or anywhere that a cage may go.

A parking fine, for parking on the footpath, is way less than my insurance excess. I park on the footpath.

    Thumbs down

I wasnt as lucky a few years back. Bike knocked over and guy done a runner. I now only ride out on the open road and avoid parking near or where a car can "park" wherever possible. As for shooting into town or down to the local dairy to get a new motorcyle trader, I take my tin can
