    KDX 200 sidestand wanted

My '95 came with no sidestand, but as I have to get off a lot to help my son out I have to lie it on its side, it can be hard to restart and the petrol likes to escape.
Anyone got a side stand they want to sell or one I could modify to fit.
Looks to be about 450 mm long, bolts on the swingarm to a boss with about 30 mm spaced holes.

    cheers Voltaire

Trailtech side stands are about $199.00 if you want me to find out the availability for your bike let me know. Not sure if there are cheaper options available or not. You probably should just buy one from overseas with the rest of your gear. I'm not stocking these, can't afford to have them sitting around.

Twice the displacement, twice the cost and a decibel problem, I'll pass on the inside brraaaap!!!

Thats a bit harsh... I did buy some shirts, pants and goggles for myself and my two boys from the US. having just bought three old bikes I was watching the pennies, The rest I got off Trade Me and Motomail clearance shop.
I have spent nearly 8 K locally on bikes, helmets, boots, tyres, and armour so I think I can sleep fairly well at night.
I read what you and the guys from MR Motorcycles said last week and ironically I was looking at your site for fork boots just prior to reading your comments.
The Honda shops I did go into here had no parts I needed for my two 10 year plus kids bikes and the figures and lead times quoted ex Japan were laughable.
I'm new to dirt bikes and have a couple of classic bikes and with these you have no option but to go overseas as you can't get parts.

I don't get upset any more when people go out and buy junk Air Conditioning and get unqualified cowboys to install it cheap, it is however an unfortunate reality, and I can't force people to spend a bit more for a quality job.
...anyway post on a stand would be too high.

Thanks Scott, Really enjoyed the run on Sunday. My 13 year old had a real feeling of achievement after finishing the run, despite having to turn back on the first bit due to being too slow.
I don't think he will be interested in the kids loops now.....
The second part of the run he had no problem with, apart from falling off a bridge into the water. Are the other runs much the same?
    cheers

Not trying to be harsh, just a bit tounge in cheek so no explanation needed. No skin of my nose where you get one, we all can have differing views of things without getting upset.
Hopefully Scott can help you out. Just trying to be helpful so don't get upset, nothing was meant by it. It would be easier if we could all get our stuff here instead of having to wait for the stuff to come in from overseas. Good luck with your side stand. I figured the Trailtech would be too expensive for you, just presenting the option for you since you asked. Again just trying to be helpful.

yeah the next run at naike is very about in the middle of the two loops, a bit of open and a bit of tighter stuff, all the other rides are open loop, meaning one loop as many times as you want, normally 30-35km long,

People take them off KDX as they stick out like Dogs nuts ready to get caught & they flail about sitting on the swingarm.

Course a royal pain without one if trail riding.

If you do find one mount it on the frame either with one of Cycleworks kits or DIY

Was done on my old 91 but will work on a 95

Thinking aloud here--I wonder if one of those triangular "paddock stands" could be clipped onto the front or back of a KDX?
To see a life newly created. To watch it grow and prosper. Isn't that the greatest gift a human being can be given?
