    My own personal comfort....

Curious as to what suggestions I can get for this somewhat odd, but tedious couple of questions.

1.) When riding my bike the right part of my right hand palm gets really sore, how do I combat this, especially for long haul trips.

2.) I play tunes while riding, however, it seems that when I get up over 100km/h my MP3/CD player starts skipping. Where should I put it to combat this, or is there no combating this, is it a way of saying I am speeding?

    Cheers

I get a sore thumb muscle (other side). Try moving your hand around, or even doing some stretching exercises while riding. If you hold your hand in one place for too long it tends to cramp up. It could also be the angle of your hand/wrist at the bar - try changing it and seeing if it helps

This is an easy fix. Get your hole saw and drill out the baffles in the exhaust. Place the mp3 player on top of your table at home and go riding.
Keep the bike between 9000 and 12000 rpm. Better sound than any CD!!! :love2:
And I to my motorcycle parked like the soul of the junkyard. Restored, a bicycle fleshed with power, and tore off. Up Highway 106 continually drunk on the wind in my mouth. Wringing the handlebar for speed, wild to be wreckage forever.

you can get one of those 'cruiser controls' for your right hand grip. its pretty much just something you rest your palm on top of to cruise instead of having the 'grip' form of your hand which hurts me too.
also pretty much any excersize countering the 'inwards' muscle formation should help the pain, eg leaning against a table with your hands turned around and fingers gripping the edge of the table, sounds like an OOS thing!

Give it horns ! and get there quicker.

    Failing that

Practice makes perfect, or but one of those spring goodies and strengthen your hand.

Handle bar hight may have something to do with it or gripping the throttle too tight for too long maybe.

sore hands... try adjusting where the brake lever is etc for a more comfortable fit or when you stop before you take off your gloves rest the sore hand on the muffler (nb carefully) and the heat tends to releive the pain.

what do you use for tunes??

I second this, i have never felt the need for music while riding, and if i did have music while going on my style of ride, i would crash pretty quick....

Try altering the handle-bar angle (if you can on your type of 'bike), it sounds like they are too high from my experience.

Dump the effing tunes man - what more music do you need than that of your bikes engine etc!!

Celticno6 gives excellent advise here. Part of the joy of riding is that you don't have those everday distractions around you. It's better than any form of meditation for clearing the mind and uplifting the soul. :spudwave:

And when you're suitably uplifted you can discover your own vocal talents as you cruise along in a state of bliss.

Edit: I've come off night shift which is probably why my mutterings here make me sound all happy trippy hippy. Think I'm not quite ready to be in the land of the living yet.

If you really feel the need for music you will have to use a memory based mp3 player as they are complete digital, you can get rather large ones now and are small.

But your better off with a bigger exhaust!!

    Why bigger?
If you mean to make more noise. They get real annoying after a few hours riding, trust me.
