cooor 400kgs?? thats a big beast to lump around the traffic.

As for lane splitting with lights... have you ever thought you might be safer to turn all the lights and sirens off and just ride past the cars? (I'm serious) Thats what I do and for the most part it seems safer and they're LESS likely to hit you if they don't know you're there or at least don't have a chance to panic as you go past (mind you, I ride with the light on full beam).
Ok, maybe leave the flashers on but turn the siren off and go for it. I guess you'd get into trouble for quick lane splitting without the lights on at least right? (I know I do!)

Man how much do they cost. What about a new ducati 900ss or something. Won't need the sirens cause they won't be heard over the pipes.
Lump lingered last in line for brains,
And the ones she got were sort of rotten and insane...

Anyway it must be late if I'm correcting a troll's English.
I would suggest 'Maybe I should have added' as a further correction to that.

I didn't get a ticket but I got a bollocking over the loud speaker from a cop car stuck in the traffic: "Motorcyle splitting traffic - get back into the lane!" Those speakers are loud as! A bit embarassing too....anyway I couldn't see what his beef was.

What's your thoughts on splitting traffic? As long as your being safe about it, no issue? Or striaght into the ticket book every time? (I won't hold you to it!)
They (the cops) were probably just jealous that you were moving and they weren't. Personally (and I have said this before somewhere on here), I don't really mind as long as other traffic is going slow and you aren't doing the speed of sound either.... obviously there are dangers and each biker has to weigh those dangers up in the circumstances but unless I thought it was dangerous, I wouldn't chase you... (or scream over the loudspeaker). There have to be some advantages in having a bike in peak hour....

Yeah, tend to agree with you there and depending on how fast or how much weaving I'm doing (and traffic density) will determine for me what is on and what's not... people do panic and sometimes its much easier watching them panic after you have got past them.

I must be honest with the few cops I have spoken to I always get a different opinion about the lane splitting thing. The "bike" cops are nicer about these things than the others.

Back to the subject 400kg's!!!!!!! F me thats heavy how long does it take to get to hmmmm 100.

And sorry to say this but why a bmw there are faster "comfortable" bikes out there.

But to be fair I envy you. (Yeah I know I cant spell).

And for that other dude that said he wished you fall off. fuck you for that dude one dont say things like that about fellow bikers even if you dont like them.

Sounds like the problem there isnt the cops but the people who tell the cops what to do with thier time. Write a letter to your MP. There is a massive thread here somewhere on the whole debate on police accountability regarding thier time and effectiveness, have a read.

on a different note................any of the cops on KB know of a blackbird (blue) sitting in a motocycle shop in south auckland ? front end damage from rapid rear end on cage..............owned by a cop........im just curious. There is a name to go on but only the first and it might not be any of the cops from KB..............

Looks like a summary of previous posts in which our esteemed Police colleagues feature.

The capitalisation is jarring, kind of like seeing your grandmother topless at the beach.

400kg's and 1150cc's of throbbing BMW twin power, so you won't be matching R1's top speeds then?
