Had similar experiences when living in Singapore...interesting the difference in 'clean up' time between the various areas...

Generally one jandal on the road followed by another over 20 or so metres signalled the scene up ahead.

That first video is pretty gross... Actually all of them were... But I think its just a matter of the one thing that people keep telling me before I start riding on the road: Pretend that no one on the road can see you, what you're doing or that they will anticipate what you're doing. As a rider on 2 wheels, you're so much more vulnerable, because of the smaller size of the vehicle and lack of concentration from other drivers, so we've really got to take a lot more care. Also, remember that trucks are really high up, and I've never driven one before, but I think its pretty obvious that its a lot harder for truckers to see vehicles lower down on the road.. So be careful everyone I really don't want to be put off riding!!!

The problem with trucks, especially loaded trucks is they have a longer stopping distance.

Pull in front of one at your own peril.

And so many people ignore that, i would hate to be a truck driver for that reason.

Normally I watch these things fine. Tonight I am not gonna bother trying. Today fuckin sucked so far. Don't need that shit.
We know how bikes are, stuff up in the wrong place at the wrong time and there are always things wanting to make you into small little bits. Might watch it tomorrow when I am myself again. (IE - I normally never ever swear, but bugger it today)

Only a select group of people in Thailand will touch a dead body (something about the dead person's bad karma attaching to you) and so many times when driving around you will see many a motorbiker who has lost a fight with a truck - oh and they don't cover the body with a sheet. When we first arrived the hotel (where we worked) regularly had the police in trying to scare the staff into wearing helmets etc and brought along some gnarly photos. The brain in the middle of the road is one that will stay with me forever...

Yeah, Thailand was NUTS when we were there ealrier this year.

Finally watched it, cushioned by alcohol.
Frankly, if it was a toss-up between cancer or being crushed by a truck and shown on the internet, the truck is the way I'd prefer.

If I ever get crushed by a truck or bite the bullet in any spectacular way I sure hope I'll make the internet.

There by not saying I have any desire to become (in)famous!
