Yup them tracks got me a beauty a few years back. I bought an accident damaged/ridable GPX250 and rode it home -thanks to those tracks it was er "more " accident damaged

Wouldn't have been any better off with wider tyres hitting tracks the wrong angle.
One of the few things wrong with an FXR is the stock tyres - they are CRAP. Their size, however, has nothing to do with it. Just cheap, nasty hard compound tyres. Not sure if EJ has stockers or not...

I know what you mean about those tracks - over the years, I've seen a few bikes hit the ground trying to cross them.
He's not gonna enjoy the Mangamuka's today,- it's pissing down from Whangarei all the way to the Cape, and has been for a few hours, and looking at the rain radar - it will be for a few hours more...

I can guarantee you that SH1 south of Chch is the last place you want to go. I doubt you'll find a longer, flatter, straighter or just more boring piece of road outside of the US.My vote for far and away the best section of SH1 in the North Island.
