Well that's funny.. we were at the bar with EJ last night and told him not to bin.. The FXR already had a crack or two, wonder what it looks like now.

EJ says he's gonna keep on going, and that he's gonna finish his mission

(Haven't ever ridden or driven SH1 south of Christchurch, so I can't make the assertion for the whole country, but I wouldn't be surprised if that was the case.)

Glad to hear EJ's in one piece. Now there's a man who needs a Proper Motorcycle, stat.

Yup them tracks got me a beauty a few years back. I bought an accident damaged/ridable GPX250 and rode it home -thanks to those tracks it was er "more " accident damaged

Wouldn't have been any better off with wider tyres hitting tracks the wrong angle.

One of the few things wrong with an FXR is the stock tyres - they are CRAP. Their size, however, has nothing to do with it. Just cheap, nasty hard compound tyres. Not sure if EJ has stockers or not...

I just hope he gives the Mangamuka's the respect they need...yet enjoy them for what they are...PORN!
I know what you mean about those tracks - over the years, I've seen a few bikes hit the ground trying to cross them.

He's not gonna enjoy the Mangamuka's today, - it's pissing down from Whangarei all the way to the Cape, and has been for a few hours, and looking at the rain radar - it will be for a few hours more...

I'm glad I gave him a bottle of HTFU pills the other night!

Told him if he could keep continuing his journey no matter what, he'll be right as rain (I guess I shouldn't have said that last part! )

Experience will be good for him, nothing like a road trip to the back and beyond (relatively speaking) to get his voice to stop squeaking and grow some hair on his chest ... :slap: Feck. He's asian. Disregard.

He's still young and rebelious - perhaps this was his way of telling you to mind your own business

I can guarantee you that SH1 south of Chch is the last place you want to go. I doubt you'll find a longer, flatter, straighter or just more boring piece of road outside of the US.
The last bit coming into Dunners isn't too bad and I dunno what it's like south from there.

That's a good effort! Where is he staying overnight?
It is preferential to refrain from the utilisation of grandiose verbiage in the circumstance that your intellectualisation can be expressed using comparatively simplistic lexicological entities. (...such as the word fuck.)
