    Book writer near Taranaki wanted

As this will be to do with Motorcycles, I hope posting this in here is ok?

I am wanting to talk with some one about writing a book for me, on my entire racing history!

This will be a fun challenge, as only the truth will get told, so lots of inside guff to talk about bahaha

My personell choice of Writer ( Yes a KB member and bloody good story teller) is to ill to get involved on a serious nature unfortunately

So, any one that has the credentialls to do a good job, please contact me via email

    Thanks

Tim Hanna wrote the John Britten Story reviewed here and the Burt Munro Story which I think came before the movie.

He does good, no great, work

Stay away from Paul Owen. He can make an interesting story very boring.

    Is Janno not available mate?
If a man is alone in the woods and there isn't a woke Hollywood around to call him racist, is he still white?

Yes folks, I need another kidney before I'm up to big projects. Feel free to send any spare ones my way . . . promise to pay courier fees.

Good luck Shaun, I know it would be a fantastic book with all sorts of juicy stuff! Really bummed I can't get involved

I'm a journalist and a photographer but writing a book does take certain skills. Paul Owen is a bit boring, but I am not sure who else to suggest.

You could try writing as much down in your own words as possible then getting someone to help tweak it. I always feel a bit cheated when I read a book about a motorsport personality that is more along the lines of "when he was 10, so and so did this" rather than "when I was 10, I was a snotty nosed little shit who was always bugging my parents to buy me a bike..."

I think a book about you would be great, but it does need a lot of you. Plus, do you want to pay heaps to someone like him and get FA yourself? (Not that writing a book in NZ is a sure-fire way to make money by any means!)

I'm doing a Diploma in Publishing at present and it's an incredibly involved process. I'm not trying to put you off, but could you perhaps talk to someone like Aaron and see how he found the process and how Paul was to work with?

I'd be happy to help on the proofing and editing side but have never tackled anything longer than a 3000-word feature! But I was Joe McAndrew's team photographer for three years and wrote heaps of articles about him during that time. Not quite based in Taranaki though!
Yes, I am pedantic about spelling and grammar so get used to it!

I know a professional book writer, but they live in North Canterbury. Is the Taranaki location mission critical?

Why not see if you can get hold of Eoin Young and see if he has any suggestions?
