    this was going to be my suggestion, too, though maybe different era's?

    Couldnt hurt to ask.

    By the way, I am reading a biography of Mike Hailwood at the moment, its called "A Man Called Mike" by Christopher Hitchon: its kind of how NOT to do it. Lots of editorial intervention, not enough personal stories, and a LOT of editorialising "You can see from this what a great guy he was" "We'll meet him again in chapter 7" sort of stuff. Its still worth reading though.

    Yes, it was Christopher Hilton who wrote the Mike Hailwood biography.

    He's a bit er ... well if I were him, I'm sure I'd have a word or eight to describe what I mean.
