* ruin our wedding anniversary
* scare the bejesus out of me
* trash plans for having friends round for a bbq

by binning his Duc.

I was a lovely wifey and bought him a beautiful book on motorcycles for our anniversary (1st anniversary = paper, you see) and didn't complain when he went out for a ride with a friend for the morning. I took our newborn son out to the supermarket for supplies whilst the ride took place.

All I asked was that he be home by 11am to help set up for the bbq. Instead I come home from the supermarket to find him hooking up his trailer to go and retrieve his bike. He didn't even have the good grace to be apologetic, instead he was laughing about it!

To make his humiliation complete, I think he should have to post a picture of the damage. (Completely totalled RHS of bike).

He has since apologised but I have informed him I reserve the right to be cross with him for a bit longer.

I just read your post and I am frankly deeply disturbed by your attitude.

As a woman, wife and mother, you must come to grips with reality and begin to understand that this was all your fault and will always be "your fault".

ok, now that the seas have calmed I can venture forth an see about get'n the bike back together.

It was a "relatively" (not sure how fast I was actually going) lowspeed off brought about by an Oh F*&^ ... and too much front brake.

The alleged damage is mainly RH fairing, indicators and mirror, front fairing and screen also damaged along with rear break lever, all fairly cosmetic or so I thought. ...... and therefore thought it would be ok to nurse it home, but the gear changes were reluctant and less than 1km up the road the clutch housing started to melt onto my boot and heatshrink the fairing.

Gave up at that point and decided a trailer would be the more sensible option.

Will also be needing new jacket and helmet.

I'll get it inspected and assessed for now, then decide whether it's worth repairing myself.

I reckon there are a lot of great men out there......so dont care whose cynical on this, one, this goes out to the dudes as well, (there are a stonkingly amount of us nice chicks out there, waiting to be met, and I truly believe, there really is someone to have fun and cuddles with for a huge amount of time, adventures galore, getting drunk talking bollocks, swopping music, chatting continuously about life and stuff.

And for the record, like attracts like, got a lot of top friends at these rallies, so eventually Mr. Fun and Sexy Right Man, who is worthy of this woodybee will float into my life, until then I shall float happily along with the thermals like a bumble bee from Flower to Flower with a buzz in my tail and a sting for those who piss me off.
