    Funny little hand gesture?

I was riding home from Clevedon show grounds after watching my better half do the SUB cycle race and past 2 bikers who both did some weird hand gesture, couldn't quite make out what it was ... but figured it might be a Kiwi Biker thing?

Just to clarify, I wasn't being flipped off ... thats one gesture I'm well aware of

EDIT: Because assumption and perception are wonderful and terrible things, I know what a nod, wave, flip off, "your indicator is on", pull over, stop, warning hand gesture looks like.

I'm not trying to 'troll' and I'm not trying to insight a riot, I was simply wondering if (mainly) was it anyone who posts here who did that so I can know what it was.

**note to self, it seems there are many unspoken rules to posting a thread here

You could perhaps give us a hint ... if it was waving a finger or hand in circles then they were trying to tell you there was a cop up ahead.

You're right, sorry, they both pulled their left hand close to their chest and did something with their fingers, as it was open road and they were going in the opposite direction I couldn't really see what it was ... must've been around 3ish Sunday afternoon

The Kiwi Biker *wave* involves removing both hands from the bars and demonstrating to other bikers how a bike can be steered by bodyweight positioning, rather than the hackneyed myth of countersteering...

9 Posts and he's already onto waving.

    This one will need watching.

OK, you might be trolling, but you just might be a noob. Bikers wave at other bikers - generally. Or nod their heads. Except BMW riders, harley riders ... yada yada yada (link to a squillion threads - some funny, some insulting, arguing about who waves to whom). Sometimes the process of controlling 200kgs & 80hp on a greasy road with a cage trying to take you out means that you don't wave to another biker.
This is never OK and is never forgotten. A thread will be posted about "that bastard who rides a (insert approx bike)"

If you want to 'get in' on the great wave debate, or join the never-ending "should KB have its own wave" then do a little search, and you'll be as happy soon as a pig in shit.

Welcome to KB. I'm gesturing to you now (its friendly people)

Harley riders don't wave because they're *embracing the lifestyle*...

does that apply to BMW riders too?
I rode past a 'club ride' (I can only assume), of BMW riders, and not bloody one of them nodded/waved back. I vote BMW the snobiest rider of the lot
