Outward bound would also have similar safety problems. Do they want to be associated with a ride that somebody is killed or injured on? Just keep it in mind...
This has of course been considered.
Probability if injury or death? I would imagine less than a typical weekend away one up on the Katana.
Given the lower average speed, the team work etc.

This will mostly be about mental challenge rather than physical demand.
Pretty much anything should be able to make it the paltry 1,000 km's.

If you have genuine queries rather than a desire to troll and ruin the fun for everyone else I suggest you do so in a more positive / constructive manner.

No one has said you are not welcome.
We have however questioned how much you will enjoy such a caper.

    Hi-vis is Hi-vis, the point being that's it's Hi-vis
I'll be wearing one from work with our logo on it, and have several from various jobs that i can lend out if needed.

Actually, just had a thought. if it's got it in big letters all across the back, might not be so suitable I can lend you a plain one if needed, not a problemo

Exactly what Outward Bound is all about if I recall... finding safety in teamwork while the guides leave you largely to your own devices beyond a schedule.

Correct me if I am wrong but there is very little "hand holding".

I've never been much good with getting sponsors for stuff... to me it always sounds like "i'm doing somethin stupid, giz some money for it will ya?"
i know that's not it at all, i just suck at that sorta thing

No joy on the accommodation front at this stage. i might be able to get us a front lawn in kerikeri, but is dependent on too many factors to say yes at this stage. Something closer to kaitaia way would probably be more suited anyways, closer to the cape for the up-and-down jaunt on sat, the more time for photo's and shenanigans the better

at this stage i have had 2 offers to drive tail end, i would rather have someone on board with mechanical skills as i would rather all bikes get there and back not just thrown onto a trailer its all about over coming adversary as it happens, ya know an adventure?

also BigDog you are right at Outward Bound there is no hand holding, they break you then rebuild you into a better person using the outdoors and challenge as tools for shaping you into a better person.
if you want to know more go visit www.outwardbound.co.nz
