Well, my bike is 200cc, a pile of crap, won't sit on 100 up hill (sometimes not even along the straight!) and worth less than $1000 (probly less than $500).

    Do I qualify?
I'm always keen for a trip like this!
"I came into this game for the action, the excitement... go anywhere, travel light,... get in, get out,... wherever there's trouble, a man alone... Now they got the whole country sectioned off; you can't make a move without a form."

Paved roads are just another example of wasted tax payer dollars.

so who is going to be on an SJ50?!
I've learnt to hide the pain inside, open the throttle and ride away.

As well as the price consideration, how about making it also a requirement that the bikes participating must have travelled at least 50,000km?
Trying to make this possible for all who wish to enter which is why the spend and cc choice or just completely inappropriate.

I don't want bikes entered that are fast.
But I don't want to exclude bikes that students are commuting on if they are sufficiently inappropriate.

To wit the fast group would be travelling at 60-80 max speed.
The slow group would be any one speed limited to 50kms..

I'm dead keen, would struggle to get the funds together in time though, although it does give me something to work towards, as I was thinking of buying a dunger 250 and slowly doing it up anyway.

I'm thinking of a Dual Purpose bike, something that I may be able to hand on to, and have a little fun on after the trip.

    Any ideas?
