We could all rock over to your house Rupert and discuss it and have some beers!

As long as you bring some tools, your welcome!

Took the engine out tonight, barty5 dropped round an old clymer manual (thanks again mate) so I'll have a good look at that to get an idea what to do.

Can believe the amount of bloody black sand stuck everywhere that you don't get to when you wash the bike. Makes you think twice about riding there.

Whats a good product I can use to clean all the black shitty oil without damaging any of the seals?

Seems like a good day to play with the engine, so took the top off to have a look.

Thats not looking that bad. For old 2 stroke I've heard use diesel or Kero??? Need confirmation on that though.

I'd put a new piston and rings in while its striped though. Better safe than sorry. Also when you take off the cylinder, you can just leave the head on and take it off at teh bottom. Look for the power valve actuator/controller and make sure you disconnect that before you try to pull the cylinder off.

As for splitting the crank I've got no idea. I'd say that you'll have to remove teh flywheel and clutch though. Just note how everythign came off and even make notes if you're not too sure.
