Who's watched MotoGP on line

Who's watched MotoGP on line ???
as the Misses won't let me get sky to watch it, and it the only thing I'd be getting it for.
is it as good as quality as on Sky ?
can you save it and burn it to disc ?
i have broad band and a computer that's a year old think it should be up to it.
what packages have people bought ?
as I'd like to watch it when ever i like, maybe not live all the time ( more when i wake up) and can miss out the 125 250 and watch them later if i like. if there any carnage.

Ive downloaded races throught torrents. Quality, depends on which torrent, fine.

IF you dont want to watch live then they dont put up the delayed coverage for say 4 hours after the end of the race.


All the classes are separated so no problem there.


Don't know how antipodean internet would cope with the higher qualities., which are nearly as good as sky, plus they have good commentary on the Motogp coverage especially compared to the shite they had on TV in the UK

If I miss MotoGP and WSBK on Sky I download the torrents. Often end up doing that because of the time zones anyway.

I don't think you can save the race coverage on Motogp.com, best bet is as suggested d/l a torrent of the Eurosport coverage. You can usually get the practice and qualifying sessions as well if you're interested. Head over to http://www.racing-underground.com
and have a look around and try it out, go to "Browse Catergories" and choose "motorbikes". It pays to get in early as possible as the more downloading and seeding, the quicker the download. At the moment you can download the coverage of the latest IRTA test completed yesterday. Mind you, torrents will kill your bandwith, what package are you on?

have checked it out but not to sure how? or what i need to run these torrents , running 2gb high speed plan , not that much of a computer jocky

orangeback, I had a subscription to MotoGP last year, just on the normal 450kb plan of there's. Worked well, good quality (played it through the TV), no dropping of conection and no buffering (pauses) either. You get access to practice sessions, rider interviews, etc along with races back to the early 90's.

If you want to just download the torrents, get a program like bit-torrent or utorrent to download the vid file with (you download the torrent file which is very small, then the program downloads the actual file.)

For racing underground I believe you can't use certain torrent programs. An example of this is Bitlord, Utorrent will work with the website though.


However if you're only on the 2Gb plan then you will eat your space up pretty quickly.

Example:

Round 02 of WSBK supersport 1hr long = 300Mb.

Means you could get 6 of those at best before going over the limit for your plan, per month - assuming you didn't browse the internet etc at all.

Other stuff is significantly larger

MotoGP 2007 official season review for example. 175minutes long is 2.05Gb so slightly more than your bandwidth cap alone..

Same here. Reasonable quality and no drop out on ADSL. Good for catching up on qualifying and various interviews as well as streaming during the races.
