Any Honda NTV650 riders out there? Was this model available in N.Z? I would be interested to know how any owners rate the bike.

Tomorrow I will be down to one

cause my mate's buying the '88 Revere and even though it's done heaps more miles than the '95 I brought in from UK last year it doesn't slip out of 2nd! The book says the Revere box was better.

I'm the third owner of the '95 that has done only 22,000 miles. It was stolen-damaged-recovered in UK and to replace the dead headlight was a criminal price so I fitted the centre section of an FZR twin headlight fairing to it with a custom flicked blade that allows me to be totally wind/rain protected. Even looks good!

I have posted on this topic in the past (search NTV or Revere) but the knowledgeable Auckland bloke I spoke to says that 19 came to NZ. As both of mine are VIN'd imports I guess that's 22. Good thing the USA Hawk GT is largely the same and there's heaps of them because that meant the used front guard and collector box I bought from Ebay was at a good buyer's price.

Long live the shafties! What about an Oz tour some time? I'll ship mine over for the sole purpose.

Thanks for the post 'Rainbow Wizard'. I see you are from my home town. I went to Otumoetai college.
Sorry about the mistake in the link.
Fortunately I haven't needed to replace anything of any consequence, so hasn't been a drain on the pocket. Did replace the tail light a few years back though when a tin top tapped my backside when I was stopped at a stop sign. He paid up without any fuss.
Hail the shafties. I wouldn't have a chain drive. I think the Honda ST1300 would be my pick if finances were looking sweet.

    NTV650

Meant to ask if the Deauville is available over there?
Came here recently, but advertising is vertually non existant and they over-priced it. I Haven't seen any on the roads.
