    Charity Trail Ride fatality

Condolences to the family & friends of the trail rider who crashed and died on the ride near Hawera on Sunday. Newspaper reports suggest it was a simple case of missing a corner, tumbling down a bank and hitting a fence. Crashes like this are so often taken for granted and it just goes to show how fate can screw things up. RIP.

my condolences to family and friends.

Goes to show how easy things like this can happen. Been quite a few accidents resulting in death over the years in the dirtbike scene. Sad to hear

    Bloody awful thing to happen.
I was on the ride and it seems it was just a case of bad luck, One of those corners you dont want to run wide on, It was a pretty easy and well marked out ride really, Got to feel for the organisers as well as his family and friends.
He was a friend of Soundbeltfarms, RIP Mate.
    Be careful out there.
