    Who rode up alongside me?

Got caught in traffic on the way out last night (close to 5:30) and a bike rode up next to me and the guy (with a wicked moustache) said hello and something about good bike weather. I do apologise if I don't know who you are... was it you Merv? I was too stunned by the friendliness of the moment that I didn't get a good look at the bike (was it a VFR?) or say too much. Only managed to just get my visor open before you disappeared and "split". I only split when the traffic is stopped or I'm late for somewhere so envied your confidence not to care

Cheers for the wee acknowledgement & chat - had a big grin on my face until the end of my trip.
Someday we'll look back on this, laugh nervously and change the subject.

Not me, I take it easy and take the train. Haven't had a moustache since 1975 either. Whoever it was, good on him.

As for trains, this is where I was on Friday travelling between Strahan and Queenstown in Tasmania all in the name of work eh! Rains over 300 days a year there - a bit like Fiordland - you can't have rain forests without rain.

Cool train Merv. My husband has a wardrobe full of N-Gage trains, carriages & buildings. There's a wee train in his collection that looks very similar to that in your pic.

Didn't know that Aussie had rainforests.

bear - very nice of the guy but very surprising at the time. We should all slow for a quick hello. Makes it a nicer day.

Thumbs up I chat to other riders at stops etc

When ever a biker pulls up beside me or if I pull up I always say "hi..... and do a quick chit chat" - depending on how long we have to wait til the lights take to change....lol.
Sometimes its only long enough to say "ride safe out there" and "nice day for riding" or "which way you heading?" :spudwave:

I agree, and I long for the day I can... It's just impossible for me, so I don't bother. Don't take my lack of answering to any of your guys as being rude.

Open road/motorway wind noise + no hearing protection = long term hearing loss.

I had mine waxed last week so it wasn't me but, maybe Bruce (VTwin), he has a mo & is friendly.

Can't have been VTwin as the bike was much older than his.

Got a huge wave from the same guy again last night...
