Street Fighter K6

Toying with the idea of stripping the K6 down and putting streetfighter bars/cowl etc.
Looking for links and ideas to make this easy. The cowl I figure is straightforward, but not so sure about the bars and mounting. Guess there are kits out to make it straightforward?
Any help would be appreciated.

A guy at work is customising his SV650 and it's coming along pretty nicely. He used to do custom bikes and streetfighters in South Africa but there isn't really a market for that in NZ.

I'll try put you in touch.

There are kits you can buy, but they are expensive. Just as easy to DIY, so long as you can measure and drill a straight hole. You may need slighty longer controls (cables, brake lines) made up. Can be time consuming but worth it in the end - depending on what you are trying to achieve of course.

Gotta agree with the ginja ninja here. The drilling doesn't even need to be that straight, so long as the spacing is right. There is enough play to position the mounts so they're right. You can even buy DIY cable kits, and the wiring is pretty easy to extend.

I'd prolly go with custom tail peice, and SLAMDOG would be the man to contact re that. In the old days it was coolest to try and point said tail straight up, so it's what I'd do. Polished rims are over done, so if you're over that a swanky paint job that faded through several colours would look fantastic rolling at slow speed. Speed tripple headlights mounted on top of each other would be in keeping with the minimal narrow feel. If you can wheely put a decent halo light on the bottom shock linkage for maximum cool at night.

NO NEONS!!!

Ok, that's the beginning of what I'd build, but the chances of me ever doing it are nill, so steel what ya want, or ignore it all.

Think it would be farken cool bro. I reckon get the headlight units out of a firebolt and stack them. Like the pic of the blue bike (but a bit hard to see).

Thanks Drew I like some of your ideas. A lot of the Engineering work would be straightforward for me, so that kinda makes it easy. Time and money are the clincher at the mo'
