Need some info on 250cc bikes

Before I get roasted for not just test riding these myself... I am in a moon boot for the next month (broken left foot).
So I figured the best idea was to pick all your brains about the bikes I have been looking at to help me narrow down my search.
Yamaha Virago 250cc owners.. How fast does this bike cruise at? What is the hp? It seems to have quite a small tank do you find yourself having to fill up a lot? and how much would you pay for one less than 10yrs old in excellent cond?

Honda Magna owners... Cruising speed of this bike? How heavy is it? Is it top heavy? and how much is a reasonable price for one less than 10 years old in excellent cond?

finally.. what the heck is a Hyosung and are they any good? Same question regarding Daelim?

I would say try looking and sitting on a few (if possible) and then when your foot is out of the boot, try riding them.
Have to say though that my new bike (scorpio 225) felt like crap the first time I rode it. A few minor adjustments involving a hack saw and I love it.

A couple you may want to concider is the Kawasaki 250 cruiser -based on the ZZR250

Being that I am a newbie here could you not speak geek plz.
and no I will not ride anyway.. I value being able to ride for the next 40yrs so I will keep the boot on till surgeon gives me the green light to take it off.

Thanks for that. What model is the Kawa cruiser you speak of? The EL250? If so I have found like 1 in total in the north island for sale and it was a 1987 so I decided I wanted something newer.
I heard the handling on the zzr250 was a bit loose.

Mmmm I had a Honda manga and it was a nice bike. It's top speed for me was just alittle over 100kph (I weighed around 80kilos at the time) Gas wise it was o.k but the only bad thing I can think of apart from the top speed was the turning circle sucked. Overall a nice bike if you don't want to get anywhere in a hurry.

A while ago a user by the name of DMNTD had a bin and screwed his left foot so he hooked up a gear shifter that he could opperate from the handlebar of his bike... i will find pics...

get 280km a tank ( 16 L )
Sit on 125kmph - 130kmph easy
Lots of trick bits, Big rear tyre look like a 600.
150kg dry weight handel real well

no not really learner friendly. I can ride but I can see mr plod and who knows how many cages giving me greif if I had a moon boot on and an L plate doing 70k on the open road. Nah thanks.
I am liking the Virago a lot but struggling to find info on speeds etc. I did have a wee look at a marauder and it was too slow so am feeling a bit hesitant about buying a 250 without knowing more info about the model.
