    Help shipping bike engines?

I have sold a GSXR 1100 motor to some guy in Tauranga, I made a crate but need the shipping company to pick it up. Most of them tell me to fuck off when I tell them thats it is a motor.

Dose anyone know a good place who can pick it up from my door and drop it off?

I sold a TZR motor and sent it with TNT in a crate I had built.
You could try mainfreight also, but you'd probably need to take it to a local depot.

Have you tired not telling them its a motor?

Edit: It just struck me rudolph, why don't you get Santa to deliver it?

label it motorcycle parts or farm machinery, ring the freight co with the dimensions and the weight and say "get your arse over here and pick it up".

they are in the business of schlepping boxes, not enquiring as to their content!

Strange. They have just started a new service where they pick up and deliver to the door. And the receiver can pay for the whole thing.

This from their web site: "Bought or sold something online and need to get it picked up and delivered? Mainfreight Precision is a part of New Zealand’s Number One Transport provider which specialises in: Customers wanting goods picked up from and or delivered into residential addresses"

    Here web site: http://www.mainfreightprecision.co.nz/default.aspx

    Good Luck.

May the bridges I burn light the way.

Try these guys, they do enough volume to use some of the larger frieght companys that won't deal with you dircect.
I've used them to get car bits from around the country without issue.
