People, if it was your brother, husband, son, best mate or whatever, you should hear through other channels. I agree, if one of my riding mates or any mate for that matter was hurt or hospitalized or worse the last place i'd want to find out about it is on a public forum. PM if necessary and the people most effected should be the ones to decide to make such news public when and if they feel it should be so.

Really gutted to hear the news, I only found out this morning.

At this stage in time I can imagine it's hard to do but just concentrate on getting yourself healed up.
