Do you actually remember the accident then? If so, furnish us with the details

You're objecting to being a medical play thing for the nurses?

Don't remember the accident. If a motorcyclist knows anything its that they have to know how their accident happened.

FWIW my ex had a huge accident on his bike not long after I met him. It was not as serious as yours to be fair, but he never remembered exactly what happened. We decided that sometimes it is better not to know and just accept what we were told happened by a following rider. He used to get little flashbacks, which allowed a bit of a piece together of events in his mind, and that was good enough for us.

Take your time mate, life is sweet!

Serious crash unit should have an idea ... but I doubt you will through your own membery - Grub's accident was small comparitively and he still doesn't remember .. just makes up different ideas of what he thinks happened.

Hubby doesn't remember either. Remembers a section of road prior but nothing from there. Report from the cops pieced some of it together through witness reports.

Don't really care what happened myself just still relieved and thankful that he lives to wonder...

    Yeah! Well said!

It must be very frustrating not being able to remember though, but in the big picture, remembering details is not so important.

I may take some time to work up a devious response to that ... good things take time. Skelly's right though, you do have to know

    Some clarity:

    * If my front tyre slipped cause I was pushing hard (unlikely: I was on my own, nothing to prove and on my way home) I'd replace the front in a flash
    * If the frame felt like it flexed then I would address that (somehow - bluetack/kneed-it?)
    * I grabbed a hand-full of brake and low sided, I'd consider not doing it again
    * High-sided? Rear tyre, might look for broken brake lines, fuel lines etc
    * Diesel, rocks/gravel, sweating road? Buy better glasses/contacts lenses.
...but, I don't know what it was which means from now on I just ride more nervous. Crashes like this not only give you time to think more about how you ride, but give you more cause to think about it eh.
