Road works: Old North Rd (West Auckland) 26/2/08

ROAD WORKS

Heads up for all those that travel on Old North Rd.

There is road works happening on Old North Rd...... just after the forest and paint ball place just around the next corner.

The road works continue until the road that turns off to the left (sorry I don't know the name of the road)

They have stripped back the whole section..... so not sure how long before it is going to be repaired.


I was up there today and they have the stop/go person out and heaps of workers and lots of trucks on the side of the road.

If you have to ride throu it all, wash your bike asap afterwards..... due to the lime etc being spread.....

So do please be careful riding throu that section whilst the road works are happening...

Read this after riding through that shit. My bike was caked in that cement-like mud - had to waterblast it off and use degreaser (as it had dried hard).
