    Should I buy a 07 Aprilia Tuono?

I mainly do road riding (day or night). Stuff all track work. Love the twisties and back roads.

    Would you?

    Yes.

Side note. Night riding the twisties is tough, came up from the Naki through Mt Messanger and Awakino gorge, cant see far enough through the tight stuff to make any decent pace!

Oh aye. I've been making a habit recently of heading south through the Mangakino gorge after dark.

    It's a pretty slow process.

Then again, for me, it's a pretty slow process in the daytime too.

Well my plan to solve this involves a couple of cheap digital cameras, a DSP and some actuators........

Ahhhh, I wondered what you were doing at Mt Eden...

Go for it bro! Great bikes.

In related news, I've decided that I should not buy a V11 Breva.

absofucking mental bike. loves the twisties, but a better compromise from all accounts to the superduke if the corners sometimes turn into sweepers.

My bias is obvious. Ride it. Fall in love. Decide to buy the factory version, if you can stretch the budget.

Take one for a good ride (200+k's) because your soft life of inline fours may have you not enjoy the vibrations of a "big" twin on a long ride , I had a putt on an SV650 the other day - SO SMOOTH

    Felix mate

if you can get the factory since it comes with ohlins front/rear, and steering damper, alot better long term

    chcek http://www.apriliaforum.com/forums/f...splay.php?f=51 for infomation

They are not as reliable as say hondas, but being italian you can deal with that odd small issue they have.

If the lights are anything like the rsvr (which i believe they are same lights) they will be fucken awsome.

I'd have one in a flash if I could get past the "designed in the dark" graphics and styling. But that's an individual thing, so if you can live with the look of the thing there is nothing wrong with the way it performs, a standout bike really.

Did that once on the 900 Hornet, coming back from Shaun's place having my suspension adjusted in the Naki. Pissing rain. Sideways winds. Have to get pass B Train tanker putting up shit load of spray. But I had a bomb of a time all the way back to Auckland.

Na, have worked out that I will get the normal version. Stronger wheels And spend the left over $ on an Ohlins shock and respring / valve the front end and also Pipes.

Just been back from a night ride, the lights are not bad at all. Hope the electrics are well water proofed. Else I am buying up shrink tubes and silicon big time.
