Hyosung GV250 as first bike

Hi there all,
I'm looking at getting my first bike. I like alot of bikes sports and cruiser styles. From what I've already learnt on here, it seems most 250 sports bikes have been thrashed and are not such a good option.
So I started looking at some cruiser styles. I found the Hyosung GV250, which looks quite nice and at a good price too for quite a new one. Does anyone know how they go? Also it's hard to tell how big they are in pics, some 250 cruisers look big in photos but then when you see them they're tiny and that's deffinaltly NOT what I want

Any advice is greatly appreciated

hi i had a gv250 as my first bike and it would have been the best and easiest to learn on, its physical size is prob one of the biggest 250's around and they run great

Hi Ricky, both my sister and I have just brought a Hyosung Aquila GV250 each and are really pleased with them. Great bikes to learn on but also they have enough power if you need it. Nice and low, the bike is relatively big and suits us ok - our height is 1.75m if this helps. All the best.

They are a full size bike.

Maybe not as good electronics and engine as say a Virago or Magna

But decent enough I guess.

I'm fairly happy with mine (see profile pic). It goes well, seems to have reasonable amounts of puff for a 250, and handles nicely. Plus I really like their look.
Size is okay, they're reasonably sized but I'm 5'11" and would prefer a slightly larger bike. Certainly bigger than a Suzuki GN250.

after my Suzuki 250 intruder got pinched, I got a GV250.

had for 18 months now cos its economical, and perfect for commuting.
Does well on the open road too.

I'll be selling mine in the next couple of months if you are interested, I'm off to upgrade to a larger cruiser

mines a 2006 - wof and reg'd sweet as till sept - alarm/immobiliser/mercury tilt swtich - Data-Dots - had the exhast given the Virgin treatment (so sounds like a big bike now) - red and silver mix.

I had one as a loaner once.

What did I think of it?

It was terrible. The most uncomfortable bike I had ridden, and the quality / finish was below second rate.

Rust in the neck of the thing as well that made me worry somewhat.

Now - this was a shop hack loaner and was never cared for - so this may not equal others opinions of the bike. But I thought m 250 cc of Chinese made GN250 was a batter bike (and they are not a great bike).

I thought the Magna (?) was a far better bike - good sized for a 250 and FAR better quality.
