Not sure what his condition is today, he is sleeping at the moment. I haven't seen him since Monday, and buying the new car today, so I am going to go over straight after work tomorrow (in the new car - fingers crossed).

He was just pretending...when he saw it was you?

I guess I wont suggest TCWNR comes round tonight to visit then. Say hello for us then, Mel.

    Good work, chaps

Drew, Vicky, good on you for helping Skelstar out. Karma works both ways ...

And to those that insinuated that the purpose of this thread was to somehow enrich Drew and Vicky's bank balance under the pretence of helping out a mate, you should be ashamed of yourselves. I've only had the pleasure of knowing these guys for a few months, but I can't for the life of me imagine that either one of this couple would be anything other than scrupulously honest. Upon reading the first post, the mere thought that Drew or Vicky would use a mate's accident for personal gain did not even begin to cross my mind.

I have no doubt that the intentions of this thread are very honourable. I wish you luck for the campaign - and Sean all the best for the recovery.

Hitcher has already asked about he insurance question. There are a couple more outstanding in my mind before I could contribute:

Was the motorcycle fully road legal (REG WOF etc)?
Was the rider complying with his licence conditions when riding said motorcycle?
If the answer to both these is yes, why no insurance?

Now the answer may well be "none of your business"! If it is, that is fine I will chose not to contribute.

If you go public on a website asking for donations, then I believe that you should be in a position to explain the circumstances.

However, this is just my view. Big ups to those that do not need/want to know these answers and have given to the cause anyway. Many of you probably know both Sean and the answer to those questions. I do not, hence I have asked them.

We dont now why de didnt have insurance but he still had a shit pice of luck in the crash and he is luckey to survive, and there is a good chance he would do the same for us.

I am sure that somebody close to Sean will respond to you via PM as they did to me.

Remember that Sean's business is his own, and public speculation and comment about his personal matters is not appropriate and will not be condoned.

A wee update on Matte Mille....

Well the fairings and all the broken bits of plastic from everywhere (headlight etc) are now in the very generous and skillfull hands of Crazyfox. He is a legend! We are in hope that the headlight housing can be fixed, and that the glassy bits Drew salvaged and has repaired will work, and save the big $$$ of a new headlight. Also he thinks the top fairing should be fixable, but we are still on the lookout for one just in case. Crazyfox has also very kindly offered to fix the scratched up tank for a few beers, well I think we will make him take a little more than that for his huge effort!

The front subframe and some of the levers have been kindly collected by Ocean1 becoz he has the master machining skills and is attempting to make them all straight and pretty again also a legend

Mr Boomer has located some CRG mirrors and bar ends for a very wicked price! fanx hun!

I think I have managed to locate a screen, so am waiting to hear back on that one. And the Ducati indicators out of my spares box should fit with a bit of Drew intervention.

The dash is on its way from Auckland shortley for the bargain price of $250!!!! Kerry Jeffs at KTL your tops!!!

Cant think of anything else off the top of my head. But to all you generous peeps.....THANK YOU SO MUCH

So as it stands, without having to purchase new headlight or top fairing the funds contributed by Seans family, all you kind hearts, and Drew and I, we will have enough to get 'Matte Mille' back on form. We havn't looked into gear or helmet etc yet, that will be entirely up to Sean to decide should he want it replaced. So once we know for sure about the headlight and top fairing we will know where we are at and go from there.

    Once again......many many thanks

    Drew and Vicki.

ACC used to cover that stuff too. They won't tell you that you're entitled, you have to ask. Typical innit.
