Heard it? Shouldn't an expert like yourself be doing their own research on such an important subject?

Anyway, the cop's "badge number" is on their shoulder for anyone who may be interested to see, you don't even have to ask. If the cop is in plain clothes then there are circumstances in which they must produce their police ID, which funnily enough isn't a badge but does have QID on it.

I checked the date of your post but it wasn't April the 1st.

I don't mean to come across as a "know-it-all". I'm actually quite open to opposing views (most of the time) and enjoy learning from those like yourself with their finger a bit closer to the pulse.

    Section 41, Police Act 1958

Evidence of right to hold office

If any question arises as to the right of any member of the Police to hold or execute his office, common reputation shall be evidence of that right, and it shall not be necessary to have or produce any written appointment or other document or matter whatsoever in proof of that right.
There are statutory requirements under various Acts where a police officer must identify themselves, (when executing a power of search under Section 18(2) of the Misuse of Drugs Act for instance).

The accepted method of providing your identity is to say, "I am constable XYZ from the ABC Police Station". You are not required to provide any more information than that, however as I said earlier a plain clothes police officer would be required to produce their police ID and a uniform officer would be wearing their ID number on their shoulder epaulette..

members of any government agency, particularly the police, will emphatically NOT call members of the public losers and liars while in a public forum. If they want to do this on their weekly piss drinking sessions then that is fine. This was public.

The easy way to resolve this is to pm me the badge number. The hard way is to involve the media. I WILL report this, and I will do it the easy or the hard way, or the really hard way. His call.

    Badge number please ?

Re-read his post. Did he call any actual person a loser or a liar? No. He said he had a loser & liar detector, which most cops do, most also have blow hard detectors fitted too.

You never know though, it might be a slow enough news week that some media moron somewhere will jump on a story where an online persona that may or may not be a cop made a general comment on an internet forum about being able to tell when a person is lying.

Why don't you ask Scummie to explain "Jousting at Windmills" instead?

    Are you for real??

Or maybe you're the PC Police and wished me to refer my detector as a "non-winner and untruthfulness detector"??

Or was the description uncomfortably close to the bone??

Whatever, bring on the 'media' if you feel it will help (help what???), I don't give a fat rats arse sunshine.....
