wow, thats awesome. I would be keen to hear what maintenance issues you have faced with the bike over this time. Did you buy it new ?

There has been some skepticism about these Korean bikes, so it will be cool to hear from someone like yourself who has done it. We have two of them btw.

    Legend.

and agree although another bike would be nice (rode my mates 1200 bandit last weekend ) 250s most of the time (except fully loaded or pillion) are more than adequate for us high milage commuting and sightseeing types. (40000 km in 18 months).

Wow, that's like 15 services! With the price of services these days you could have bought another bike.

How do these bikes run - I know with petrol and on 2 wheels.
Now looking for a 250 bike for my partner to learn on she is only 2 pisspots high so this bike looks like it would be alright for her.
How reliable, comfortable, forgiving are they.

Whoops she read this as I was typing and I am now in the shit for my loving description

Havent had any issues with it since it came out of warranty (under warranty the cdi unit and rear shock were replaced). It is serviced every 4000km by TSS in Lower Hutt

As I have said previously I have had no trouble apart from the two things under warranty. I have clocked up a reasonable mileage in a fairly quick time so this could be something dont know???

It has always been serviced at the correct intervals ie 1000 then 4000 then every 4000km, I have always looked after machinery like this and I dont seem to have the problems I hear others having so I dont know.......

Just noticed you asked about comfort - I have done several 5-6 hour rides and a return trip to Akld (1 day up and 1 day back) and found that if you get off every 150-200k its not to much of a problem

Thank you. At what kms was the rear shock replaced ? What was the problem/symptom ? Ours has a really really hard rear shock - pretty much no suspension even with it on fully soft.

edit: oh and do you still like it ?

    many thanks,
    Steve
