    Congrats and welcome. The FXR is very useable I'm sure you'll have fun....then there's tricks like fittin' a GN Carb.....

    Sofa, you will love the FXR150. I've heard good things about its performance (surprisingly good for a 150) and you won't spend much on petrol.

    Like Martybabe, I too started with a 125 (also 327 years ago!), but it was a clapped out piece of cr*p and had trouble keeping up with city traffic. However, I learned on it so when I got my 650 all was sweet. See pics on my profile to see how long 327 years ago was.

    nice choice, my first bike was an fxr.
    dont worry about the speed, its all comparitive, its probably still faster off the line than any car you've driven.

    don't listen to anyone who says you'll get tired of the engine - i owned mine for nigh on 3 years and still rode it after i bought my vfr400!! great, fun zippy bikes with more than enough stonk to keep you on your toes.
