The weather is perfect todat for a little tootle up the coast to Kailora for dinner then a fun ride back home via the inland road to Waiau, my version of the corro loop. I am sure to have company as its a very popular ride

    Hi Steve

Was at Coro from Weds until today (Sun). Went out on the Mussel Barge on Friday and we all got our bag limit of snapper - magic day! Sadly, was in the car but you can't have everything. Less than 4 weeks to semi-retirement and we'll be up there full-time as soon as we sell our Tokoroa property.

    Cheers,

    Geoff

CB, Steam, Nighthawk and I had a nice pootle from Naseby - Omakau (for brekky)- Alexandra (stopped @ Jantars on the way through) and then on to Riviera of the South.

A great ride although it was a tad 'breezy' at times, but hey any ride that gets you home is a good ride..

That would have been an "interesting" conversation--and one likely to get me locked in a nuthouse

you'll have your day in the sun. i can't wait to try out the coro loop for the FIRST time, hears its a goodie.

My advice is to line up a sweet weekend cafe to work, get out of the city to spend the day making sweet coffee, meeting cool people, and checking out the surf, then ride back the 'senic' route (thats pronounced "root" for all you 'american-english' speakers). Which is many ks of tight, little used country back roads, filled with ever so many yummy twisties... sigh* im there...

// trust me theres a way to have a fun weekend working. Im living it, hope you can find a way to mate!

well I managed a blat over the Kiamias to Tauranga, then took the scenic route through Te Puke to Rotorua and back over the mamakus to the waikato today. Lovely day for riding, great scenery from the top of the Kiamias looking back over Waikato. Damn I love going up the wiakato side of the Kiamias gotta be careful there though.

Don't worry. The wardens in here are quite reasonable and the food isn't too bad...
There is a spare cell down the corridor. Would you like me to get the guard to put a "reserved" sign on the door for you?
