They had a thing called the CBTA, you can look it up for more info. But briefly, it was an intensive course that allowed some people to go straight through from nothing to their full. It was a trial that ended in 2007, nobody seems to know why it stopped. There are lots of stories about why but few facts.
well i tell you my basic handling taught me nothing, and it was stupidly priced i went there open to it thinking id be taught something i was very disapointed with it. they need to bring something else into play. nz licencing systems are stupid. Ive had alot of fines ( always out side conditions of licence ) but never had a speeding ticket or caused a crash. hmmmmmm lost my licence for demirits yes its 25 of the each time u get caught driving after 10, but you think they would put better systems in place for getting your licence, im only 20 and i agree with raising the bar making it harder but making it more efficent at the same time, reward the people who make the effort type thing. if they had something like that i could gaurantee i would be one of the few who have never had any kind of ticket.
BURN HIM!! You have his rego, go find out where he lives and burn him!
Nope, not going to say you are naughty, you admit it, and you will be far from the last to ride outside the legal requirements. One thing though, can you please try a bit harder with the spelling etc. As long as you have balanced the risks (all of them) in your own life, what do I care.
There used to be a course you could do. I believe Finn did it, he may know more about how it worked.
Yes I am aware of the text generation, I still have a couple of teenaged children, they actually text me in proper words. The problem is members are not actually texting here on this forum. They are typing messages. I could have been really pedantic mind you and insisted on apostrophies as well.
There are many folk on here that can not spell well, but you can get around it somehow. Using "u" for you, and "no" for know is simply being lazy IMHO (in my humble opinion). This message is from a soon to be member of the BDOTGNZA enforcement division.
Man text spelling pisses me off.....
In the latter decades of last century, there was a training scheme at Western Springs speedway grounds that a lot of people attended, mainly to fast-track from "provisional" licence to "full" licence. I thought it was called the "Coca Cola Motorcycle School" or something similar I went there for that purpose and learned a lot. It was held on Saturday mornings.
Actually, I Have a career where I do a unbelievable amount of typing and posting threads on a biker site I do not feel it necessary to proof read or use proper grammer. Funny that because I got excellence in all subjects in English.
Sorry mum but I have better things to do (don't mean to sound nasty saying that), and thanks alot for the advise.
Peace hath higher tests of manhood
than battle ever knew.
Just proving I can be really horrible here, if you got excellence in English then you should read what you typed and discover that it makes no sense using advise here it should be advice. By the way, just to let you now my name is Mom not mum. A subtle but important difference. Mate, you shot your self down when you said you had done so wonderfully well at school, and type for a living?
A new apprentice! LOL. I left "alot" to you sweets!
Mate there are some terrible spellers here, I am sometimes one of them. I guess the point I am trying to make is you can type properly, so please do so. Thanks.
