Ive had the bike for about two months and loving it, was waiting for the green one but when the red one turned up at AFC i just had to have it
We went to Thames from Palmerston North a couple of weeks ago and although it was a long trip the bike was up to the task no problem .
Meanie has had a larger front sprocket on it to reduce the revs for highway cruising. It now is doing 120 kph at about 7200rpm. It was doing 100 kph at 7000 rpm so now feels like its not reving its arse off
Had a ventura pack rack put on it as soon as they were available, took meanie about 10 mins to fit. Now i can bring the groceries home without tyeing plastic bags to the handle bars
An awesome bike to ride and handles very well. I havnt ridden for a number of years but have had no trouble getting used to the Ninja, wont be long before i am passing Meanie

no big deal from what i understand. your dealing with pretty low power / speed in the 250 market.

nice choice of bike. post some pics.

    Question

So have you encountered the phantom beeping yet?

Took me fucking ages to find out what it was...

Nah, don't know about that one.

Mine just beeps randomly and sounds a bit like truck reversing noise.

I was a bit worried that it was a warning of some sort but couldn't figure out what i was doing wrong.

After searching some other kawasaki and ninja forums it turns out it is just gas escaping the gas tank. But it sounds uncannily like an electrical beep.

So yours beeps when you brake?
    Weird.

I will... eventually be getting that bike too as my first bike. I had a look at one at Mt Eden Motorcycles with the bf the other week and my god I wish I could have one now! Black for me though. Stuff the Hyosung's go the NINJAAAAA's I say.

Taking into account second hand bikes being sold these days are overpriced with bloody high km's. So yeah wise decision. Have fun hoonin it around!
