    Pics of Two Smokers K5

    Hey everyone,

Well my Dad had a good trip up from wellington and i now have my dream bike in my garage.... Big thank you to Jimmy (White Trash) for getting the bike and organising everything....

Big sorry to those who came to Wellington Motorcycles to see me, i couldnt make it as i was called into work.... Also a big sorry to the Christmas party, the weather was absolutely shite and i didnt want to risk taking the K5 along (i also have work at 5am tomoro )

My Dad was very impressed with the bike, and actually found it a comfortable bike to ride (except the hard seat). Handling wise he said it was beautiful and extremely smooth and well mannered. Engine is extremely flexible with alot of torque from 3000rpm and up, sitting at 110kmh in 6th gear it is doing 6000rpm, and with a small twist of the wrist or a drop of one gear, quickly and effortlessly passed the cage that was once infront of you...

Ofcourse i had to take it for a ride, but then i didnt want to, but in the end i did... I am simply amazed, I BELIEVE THIS TO BE THE PERFECT BIKE!!!! I cant wipe the smile off my face, i am so happy.... The bike is extremely flickable and very well balanced as well as very smooth. The suspension is perfect for the road, just firm enough to be sporty, but not as firm as my ZXR400 to bounce you off the seat on every pebble on the road... Gearbox is as smooth as silk, as is the engine. The engine pulls from anywhere, i found myself changing at 5-6000rpm and that was plenty of revs to see the legal speed limit (on the motorway that is) things really start to happen at 7000rpm, and i cant wait to take it above 9000rpm (where the powerband starts) after its first service. Havnt tested the brakes or handling alot (as it is pissing down with rain) but first impressions tell me that they are going to be awesome as well...

Ive got a couple of crappy photos there with the GSX-R and ZXR. I will get some better photos later, with all 3 of my bikes there. As you can see i have set up the couch right infront of the GSX-R so i can just look at it, i probably will never ride it again as all i want to do is look at it and drool and admire.....

    Cheers everyone

Ah, bless your little cotton socks. But it is not right for a motorbike to lie idle for then it rebels mightily - go forth and conquer this beast, then set up your computer by the couch facing the bike so you can wax lyrically to your fellow KBers whilst casting adoring glances at the object of your desire. :love2:

Congratulations TwoSmoker you deserve to be on cloud nine and buzzing with pride. Top stuff.
Whitetrash pointed your Father out to me as he headed off out the door on the new beast. Hope you get some fine days in soon to get to know your new best friend. Don't over cook it now until you get to know each other!

Good grief - look at all those improvements. Certainly very different from the k4 model.

The only reason I only ride in the Iron man Class is I have no friends left to enter the two man events,
    my own fault really.
