Do you think this idea would work?

I was talking to Sam and do you think that a race under similar format to the T100 would be popular if it was done in Gissy? There is some fantastic ground out on the outskirts where you would have a bit of everything ranging from river beds, to hill climbs, then forestry etc. Great terrain.

I think that if you put some options like the dead toad with a hard easy option where the easy is twice as long would be great to separate the field a bit. That would probably be my only gripe about teh T100 actually, I got stuck in a traffic jam for about 20 mins cause people kept falling off at a hill climb!

an event like the Tarawera 100 takes time to build up, same with the dead toad and the napier 6 hours, people will travel if they hear its a good event,

it would heva to be built up over years, if you got 100 riders the first year it would be a good effort,

the country around their is awesome, it would make a good race venue,

it takes a big team of people to organise a big race like that,

    LOL go to Canada already!

Yeah might be better to just get some more of the trail rides going there. I went to one and it was well worth the trip.

I've seen some of the work going in the T100 and those guys take days off work to get it sorted! Also, it has years of success behind it as an event. Event organisation these days can be a nightmare you wouldn't want to dream about.

    All the best though...

Have done it about 4 times now great ride, with a small about of bush in it.
nothing hard or techinal about it, but fun none the less.
Bit of a drive up from Auckland for a one day event.
But i go up for the weekend and see the folks and ride on the sunday with Dad.
