A beautiful day today for a day off, so what better than a ride to Whangamomona for lunch with other like minded bikers. For those of you that are interested we rode New Plymouth, Stratford, then on to the Forgotten World Highway to Whangamomona. After lunch the more road orientated bikers headed back the way they came, while the rest of us headed further along the Highway towards Tahora etc. We turned left (West) to find the gravel and road past Mt Damper, and then left onto Kiwi Road (well known to many of you as two of the KiwiBiker rides last year traversed it) and instead of going straight to SH3 we turned and rode through the Uruti Valley.
So only three pictures (none on the gravel as we never stopped!), first is meeting up at Stratford, second can only be the Whanga Pub, and the last is the team at Urenui.
Interesting to see the others bikers at Whanga including a group on Harley's who had travelled down from Dargaville.
