Im not saying that people shouldn't buy them, and im not dissing people who buy them and appreciate them for what they are, I am dissing people that buy them and then walk around like they are valentino rossi thinking they are riding a purebred racebike and outwardly dissing on other perfectly capable 250's because they dont have fairings etc and are therefore nowhere near as good as their bike. Unfortunatly all the people I know who own hyosungs are dickheads, which does kind of give me a skewed perspective, sadly it is these people that ruin it for the other hyosung owners. What I was on about was clueless idiots not the hyosung bike themselves, if they didn't market them as a race bike you would probably still own one right? because you have valid needs for one whereas there are lots of people out there that would not have one because their sole reason for buying one was because they thought it was a full on race bike

I've worked in a bike shop. I've posted a few disparaging comments about Hyo 250s. However even I have to admit to liking how the new black and red ones look and that is the main reason young-impressionable-just-getting-started-noobs buy them - because of how they look. Good on Hyosung for producing a bike that appeals to a currently growing market segment.

Brand new, good looking bike for $6K. Sit down and shut the fuck up you bunch of whiners.
250's aren't that high a horse to climb down from. Hell you all need to have Motoracer kick your arses on a RG150 so you understand its the rider not the bike.

Fairplay, thanks for clearing that up. I'd never heard of Hyosung when I went into the shop to test ride bikes, but after riding 16 different bikes, that was the one that ticked the most boxes.

Yeah, I do get pissed off when people consistently barrage me with insults because of my vehicular transport.
    Tiny cock?
    Dickhead?
Maybe your comfortable being known as these things, but it irks me.

I almost bought a 2005 Hyosung GT250R with about 30,000 K on it. Then I asked myself how many Hyosungs I'd seen around with 70,000+ ks on them. This could be attributed to the fact that hyosung only recently entered the market, but I'll be fucked if I'm going to risk my money.

Ended up with a 89 CBR with 40,000 K on the clock.

Can't say I've seen many CBR 250s with 70k on the clock. At the end of the day if you are happy and learn to ride properly on whatever bike takes your fancy then good for you.

Most people I know aren't going to spend 7k on a bike without doing some reading - and every review I have read of the Hyosung has been positive. And prior to the new Kwaka 250 coming out, most 250s looked like they belonged in the 80s - which is pretty much correct.
