he mentioned mine too...said it was too loud. thats a safety hazard too isn't it. He must love his life. Asked me what my radar detector was for...I told him "what do you think?" ...this was all after he had already given me a ticket...I had no reason to be polite to him then...I had figured out he was a self righteous, stuck up, left wing, cock sucking, wanker by that stage. I'm looking forward to seeing his embarrassed face when the judge throws this one out of court! Good to see the police are out there keeping us safe from people like me riding a bike that is not up to WOF standard huh!?

An interesting side affect of such a benign brush with the law is the long term attitude change. Said copper has undoubtedly damaged yet another law abiding citizens opinion of the law and policing. Probably for a considerable time.

    Shame on them.
Already done A. Thanks and yes my faith in the laws in this country was shaky at best following recent events and this merely puts the full stop on it...they think we're a bunch of sheep...fuck em all i say!

    If its gets there
If you send the recent wof with the ticket they will dismiss it. I just got a letter from the bike shop saying its factory took pictures of the pipe with the fuck off big suzuki on it and it was sorted and for good measure wrote a letter to the police complaint thing ....... but nothing happened

I will be if it goes that far...I'll write a letter to them first pulling no punches and see if I can get them to drop it...problem is I should be nice a friendly in the letter and I don't think i can be (or should be). Pisses me off though...why should i have to go through this bs because of this fucktard?

But it could possibly warrant a WOF fail.
The plate isn't in good condition with those bolt marks and the angle and placement does look poor.
I also couldn't see a plate lamp. It's not WOF standard unless it has a lamp. Many bike shops ignore that though.
Not true. I took my bike in for a warrant the other day. I was worried that he might fail me for my number plate so I asked him upfront if he'd fail me for it. He said that number plates have nothing to do with the WOF process. Now I don't know if that is just his opinion or the rule. My assessment is he's a good cunt

the cop said it wasn't wof standard because of the lack of reflector, not the plate.

Hey Marcus, playing devils advocate here, you might want to double check the plate with you sitting on it. With the static sag coming into play the damn thing may possibly be obsured.

But anyway sounds to me like he REALLY didn't believe that you weren't cruising along at the same speed as your mate before your detector alledgedly saved your arse.

By the way said friend wasn't BBM was it?

.... back in green and feeling great ....

I have checked it and it sags about 20mm and is still very very very visible. I will take photos of me on it when I send in the pictures. Oh and no it wasn't BBM :-)...he rides a R1 and has been to Taupo with us a while back...not sure if you know him. Poor bugger had just overtaken me too and took off down the big straight...he was cruising with me the entire time before that too. It was the first ride he had been on in 3 months!!!
