thanks marty. I just had a look and I don't think there is one in there cause its LED's in there not like the older incandescent lights that used to have reflectors in there too...but I will check at night.

Re the Vinz requirements thanks because last time I looked I could find fuck all about what is required. I'll contact Kiwifruits parents and pick there brains too.

I think Biggles this case highlights the need to start using the police complaints procedure. A fair number of rozza's are more than reasonable, those that are not need the tables turning-he's hassling you [and many others if its that ginger coont!].

Time to start hassling him. While his 'attitude' is not likely to get him booted with enough people bitching you can bet something will transpire.

[as the ginga coont is named] took my licence. To see him 4 months later [by chance] pulling wheelies down Brian Crescent and exceeding the speed limit in a 50 zone in a most dangerous, potentially life threatening manner is some thing that completely changed my opinion of policing in this country. The cartright report confirmed it.

Hassle back Biggles. Be the first.

Welcome to the club. Another one pushed just a little too far, so now willing to stand up and fight back. Most people haven’t taken the coloured pill yet, as it is just still too easy for them to bend over and take what has been coming for them.

Why am I awake at this time of the morning? Why am I on KB reading this thread? Why do I agree with every sentiment expressed by Biggles?
    Because he's right, that's why!
We have KillaBeez running amok in Sth Auckland, a looney throwing old women off bridges in Remmers yet this chromosomally challenged Goebbels is out there 'protecting' the public by hammering bikers out enjoying their ride.
This prik Ginga is a powertripper filling his Helengrad inspired quota for sure.
There's nothing wrong with your plate Biggles, at least nothing that could have been rectified by a warning from our local Bobby.
It just won't happen in Socialist NZ, that's all...

Pretty damn visible that number plate IMHO! Contest the ticket...

Is there actually any requirements as to dimensions of number plates and the letters displayed on the plates? I have seen a lot of different number plates and they seem like they would be dead easy to replicate if you wanted to.

What would prevent you from getting WOF with a number plate that was 5 by 10 cm?

Also, with regards to the rear reflector - unless he wrote a seperate ticket on that it should be redundant seeing as there are no requirements for a reflector on your number plate. Even if he did make a ticket on that issue I suppose it would be easy to introduce a reflector into the tail light and take a night photo of it.

Sounds like a right cunt to me - hope you get somewhere with your complaint!

So, he could do you for trying to blind following traffic?

    Looks OK to me.

If you took your bike for a WOF right now and it passed then they wouldn't really have any grounds for the tickets. You would have the cops word versus documentary evidence from a testing professional. That would give you a big advantage in the bunfight.

The cop took photos of the rear of my bike...one from the worst angle with the Ohlins remote preload adjuster in the way and one from behind. the # Plate does have nothing to do with WOF so its irrelevant. The ticket he gave me states:
    1) License plate not easily distinguasable ($200)
    2)Not up to WOF standard($150)

So the first one is easy...it is quite esily distinguasable from all angles behind....even the worst angle as mentioned. I will take photos and send in with my letter. The second one I will be getting a WOF this week so will send that in with my letter of complaint too. If they have any sense they will drop it there but I have a feeling I will have to go to court over this one....AND I FUCKEN WILL TOO!
