Hey man, how's the bike going? I've had my 2005 GSX for about a week now, although only just took it for a spin around the block tonight (just got a helmet finally!). Was shittin myself the whole way around, but it was all good. Sucks that I've gotta go to work tomorrow, otherwise I'd be out there again (not ready to take on the traffic just yet )

By the way - what pipe is that on your bike? Whats it sound like?

    Cheers
    Dave

    Woohoo

Just came back from a quick 8km ride. Second time on the bike (first time around the block in the dark) - much better now that I can actually see everything around me!
Wanted to keep going all day, but my frickin fingers were frozen! I've got some of the thinner "winter" gloves, but I think they're more water-resistant than wind-proof. Didnt realise how cold the wind could be in such a short time. Rest of me was toasty - will have to get some liners maybe, or try some other gloves.
Who's got some good warm gloves that aren't too thick that they hinder control? Bugger that everything's closed today too! Hopefully it warms up a bit now that the sun's out.

Right, hands warmed up, time for round 2!

mate of mine has some nice alpines that are really flexible you could try something like that but it will set you back around 120-150 for a good pair i think.
nice hope you have fun on round 2 watch out for the cages they are stupid!

Will have a look. Dont mind spending that if they're decent. The ones I've got were only around 80, but were the only winter ones they had that fit me, and I was impatient to get on the bike!
Round 2 was good though, put on another 30k or so. Much fun. Saw lots of other bikers around Wainui (where I live) - most waved or nodded which was cool.
Just had to come back to check that the family hadnt forgotten what I look like. Might go out again for round 3 soon though... its bloody addictive!
