Early ZZR1100s are going for that sort of money if you look around. I think they were the C1 models. Big and heavy but great road bikes.

Some of these could be options...

    1. Tidy looking NC30
    2. GSXR400, perhaps a little rough
    3. 91 ZXR400, cosmetic bruises
    4. Perhaps some 2 smoke action?
    5. CBR600, maybe haggle a bit
    6. Buy my bike!

Heaps of options... and many more still if you wouldn't mind a bit of a project! Let us know what you decide on

VX800....Yeah, I know you've already owned one, but did you put Progressive springs and cartridge emulators in the forks? Tranforms the handling.
Get the Jap import (vibey engined version) and derestrict it. Far more character than any I-4 - and pretty much anything else for that matter.

Just below the radar on an RF900 but the RF600 for sure, still a punchie bike from what I understand
To laugh often and much; to win the respect of intelligent people and the affection of children; to earn the appreciation of honest critics and to endure the betrayal of false friends. To appreciate beauty; to find the best in others; to leave the world a bit better whether by a healthy child, a garden patch, or a redeemed social condition; to know that even one life has breathed easier because you have lived. This is to have succeeded

This bike wouldn't be too bad...

since it doesn't appear you want another RF.
And I to my motorcycle parked like the soul of the junkyard. Restored, a bicycle fleshed with power, and tore off. Up Highway 106 continually drunk on the wind in my mouth. Wringing the handlebar for speed, wild to be wreckage forever.
